Position: Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Contract: Permanent/Full Time

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE)

Location: East London & occasional coverage across Home Counties

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (40-hour week, 30-minute lunch)

Role Overview:

As a Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical plant and heating/hot water systems, primarily within plant rooms. You will ensure systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in line with industry standards, providing high-quality service at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on mechanical plant and heating/hot water systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults within plant rooms to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Provide occasional cover across the Home Counties for holiday or sickness absences.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Use provided tools, equipment, and technology to complete maintenance and service reports.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 qualification as a minimum standard.
  • Strong plumbing/mechanical bias with proven experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
