Your role
You and your up-to-date industry regulation knowledge will be integral to ensuring Food Safety discipline across our Retail and Production teams, assisting with the development, implementation and monitoring of programmes, policies, controls and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations. As part of this development and implementation you will provide ongoing training and education on food safety and practices to employees throughout the organisation.
Outside of the organisation, you will evaluate and monitor the food safety practices of our suppliers, addressing any issues which may rise and investigate any customer complaints which arise through out customer services team., * Help develop, implement, and manage comprehensive food safety programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

Establish protocols for monitoring, verifying, and validating food safety controls throughout the supply chain and production processes.

Provide ongoing training and education to employees on food safety best practices, hygiene, sanitation, and compliance requirements.

Evaluate and monitor the food safety practices of suppliers and vendors to ensure the safety and quality of incoming materials.

Customer complaints, investigation with suppliers and liaising with Customer Services Department to close off within required timescales.

Prepare and present regular reports on food safety performance and improvements to management.

Product specification management using given software, troubleshooting and suggesting improvements.

Experience in a similar role
-
Excellent communications skills and attention to detail

Able to use IT skills to be able to collate and trend data

Multi-tasking ability and able to work under pressure

Ability to learn and adopt new processes and systems

Experience with food labelling regulations, sensory analysis, HACCP and Food Hygiene
Bonus experience:

Driving continuous improvement through audit and corrective actions in a diverse environment.

Be able to deliver technical support and integrity for the estate within a production/hospitality driven environment.

Hygiene checks – which can then be adapted into GMP hygiene checks upon complete of the production facility.

Technical experience in chilled food manufacturing and Microbiology.
