A Hydraulic Engineer / Hydraulics Engineer / Service Engineer is required to join a leading provider of hydraulics in the Northeast. The successful candidate will provide hydraulic service and maintenance on various industrial hydraulic systems in the workshop near Sunderland and at customer sites in surrounding areas.

The role involves:

  • Providing hydraulic service and maintenance on various industrial hydraulic systems.
  • Undertaking planned and preventative maintenance.
  • Providing advice, diagnostics, and fault finding of industrial hydraulic systems including pumps, motors, valves, electronic control systems, hydraulic power units, and manifolds.
  • Maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment in the workshop and at customer sites.
  • Installing hydraulic products into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Performing emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various hydraulic equipment.
  • Liaising with various engineering departments.

Requirements include:

  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated hydraulic systems.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Installation Engineer, or similar in Hydraulics.
  • Experience in fault finding and fault diagnosis on electromechanical systems.
  • Experience of PLC programming would be advantageous.
  • Assisting in the workshop with strip-down, inspection, reporting, and re-build of hydraulic repairs when required.
  • An electrical engineering qualification would be advantageous, i.e. HND, HNC, NVQ, 18th Edition or similar.
  • A willingness to commute to the workshop near Sunderland.

Package: Circa £30,000 - £40,000, company van, overtime, and additional benefits.
