Our client is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to join their well-established team based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

The Job: To ensure that all plant, equipment and services are safely maintained in line with the companies PPM system and to fulfil all statutory regulations.

Working Hours: Rotating shifts, Mon-Fri 05:30 – 14:00 and Mon-Fri 13:30 – 22:00 (40 hours)

Salary: £50,085 Per Annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out planned preventative maintenance and carry out quick response to breakdowns.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with the company CMMS system.
  • Report any observations/concerns arising from a PPM activity.
  • Carry out corrective actions quickly and thoroughly to keep plant downtime to a minimum.
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Suggest and implement plant improvements.
  • Monitor and request spares in a timely manner to maintain plant and equipment.
  • Accurately complete documentation to enable a traceable and auditable route.
  • Take part in cross functional task teams to improve machine/process reliability.
  • Share knowledge with the team to improve the overall ability to succeed at the required tasks.
  • Supervise contractors when required, to ensure that they work safely and in line with their documented RAMS.
  • Interact daily with maintenance team, operations and yard staff to understand the business requirements.
  • Undertake reasonable tasks as allocated by the company in addition to those defined.

  • Motor control systems.

  • Maintenance of plant within aggregates/quarry/heavy production environment.
  • Time served apprenticeship.
  • Mechanical training and experience is an advantage.
