Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer (Marine) to join our client, a reputable engineering services company. This role is ideal for professionals with a proactive approach, strong technical expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional solutions in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage asset movement and prepare all necessary shipping documentation.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, providing guidance and expertise when needed.
- Provide service support for Company Operated Vessel.
- Follow maintenance schedules and field based fault finding and board level diagnosis.
- Liaison with internal and external suppliers and contractors.
- Installation of equipment on vessels, and integration with other systems.
- Preparation, testing and packing of equipment prior to dispatch to vessels.
- Provide remote support to vessels with technical issues, potentially out-of-hours and at weekends.
- Testing and repair of equipment.
- Control of asset movement and preparation of shipping documents.
As a Senior Electronics Engineer we require:
- HNC or equivalent qualification/experience in electronics or electrical engineering.
- Experience with installing electronic equipment such as VHF, HF, AIS, radar, telemetry, computer systems, GPS, etc.
- High level of computer/IT literacy.
- Previous experience in offshore or related industries is beneficial.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide a team of engineers effectively.
Qualifications:
- HNC or equivalent qualification/experience in electronics or electrical engineering.
- Full clean driving license required.
Benefits:
