A new opportunity has become available to join a well established specialist engineering company in the West Midlands area. The Controls Engineer will be working within a multi disciplined team focussed on designing Control Systems design. Taking projects from cradle to grave, this is a great opportunity to get fully immersed in the full project lifecycle.
Controls Engineer Responsibilities:
- Working with customers to obtain a FDS
- Ensuring that solutions meet customer expectations
- Electrical design and approval
- Programming PLCs, mostly Siemens
- Electrical System Design
The ideal Controls Engineer will have:
- Electrical Control System design experience
- Design experience using EPLAN
- Previous experience designing and programming PLC software
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi
- PLC and Electrical fault finding knowledge and experience
- An electrical / relevant engineering discipline (HND / HNC +)
- Communication protocol experience eg: Profibus, Ethernet etc.
- Other software language experience with Windows including C++ a benefit.
