TECHNIA UK are looking for a Business Development Consultant Design and Simulation to join our team. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary.

Location: Milton Keynes / Hybrid

Hours: Full Time, 39 hours

The Business Development Consultant Design and Simulation role: As our Business Development Consultant Design and Simulation, you will accelerate growth in our simulation and engineering services division by discovering and cultivating new business opportunities, while maintaining and enhancing strong relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and qualifying potential clients through market research, networking, and lead generation activities.
  • Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and pipeline in CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Assisting with the development of Engineering and Simulation services opportunities, both from within the TECHNIA customer base and externally.
  • Providing regular reports and updates on business development progress, market conditions, and customer feedback to the management team.
  • Conducting market research to identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and potential customers for our services.
  • Participating in industry events and conferences.
  • Creating and presenting information that effectively communicates the value of our services and solutions to clients.
  • Collaborating with the technical team to understand and develop tailored solutions for clients based on their engineering requirements.
  • Staying informed about market trends and evolving requirements.
  • Complying with TECHNIA's policies and procedures.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry demands and expectations.
  • Maintaining awareness of the team's ongoing projects, deliverables, and capabilities.

Who do we think would suit this role?

Experience, skills and knowledge we are looking for in our Business Development Consultant Design and Simulation:

  • BSc in an Engineering discipline.
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales, preferably within the simulation and engineering services industry.
  • Experience selling complex technical solutions.
  • Broad experience of mechanical systems and their development processes.
  • Experience in an engineering company; ideally within a services business development role, or working on diverse and complex design and/or analysis projects.
  • Practical experience of product development processes.
  • The ability to take ownership of a problem or challenge to drive the design of a suitable solution.
  • Organised with an attention to detail.
