We are looking for a creative, passionate, enthusiastic chef to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, ideally some experience in fish and seafood, with the ability to lead and manage a kitchen team effectively on a day-to-day basis with the support of our Management team and be comfortable in a customer-facing environment. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests in a fun and energetic workplace. A great, bubbly personality is a must as we pride ourselves on a happy workplace.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, food safety practices, and cleanliness.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, creating a fun team environment.
- Develop daily specials working very closely with our fish suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Assist in the planning of Tasting Room events on a monthly basis.
- Work very closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless, fun, vibrant service.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production, Shellfish and seafood knowledge.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising kitchen staff.
- A solid understanding of culinary trends and a passion for creating innovative dishes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential if experience is substantial.
