Building Surveyor, Hybrid / Greater London area £60,000 – £65,000 We are currently working on behfalf of a private practice who are looking to add to their surveying team. We are keen to discuss the role with chartered and non-chartered Building Surveyors who are looking for a move and may find this well established firm of professionals a good fit. Located in South London with hybrid working or working in the Central London office. A salary will be offered in the region of £60,000 – £65,000. You will lead and deliver a broad range of surveying services, managing complex projects and maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll also support junior members of the team with their ongoing development. Covering the residential, social housing and educational sectors. Leading and managing a variety of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, budget and to the required standards Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, providing professional advice and identifying new business opportunities. Provide expert advice and guidance on building surveys, condition reports, party wall matters, defects and other related areas. Prepare detailed and accurate reports, specifications, schedules, drawings and other related contract documentation. Who we are looking for: Degree educated in a related subject matter. MRICS or similar or significant progress towards the qualification. Must have full UK driving licence and access to transport. An understanding of building construction and property law, e.g. Party Wall (etc) Act 1996. An understanding of construction risks, costs and economics. Experience of Pre-contract matters and the ability to take a project through its lifecycle. Familiarity with standard forms of contract including the JCT suite. Experience of Retrofit and Fire Safety remediation would also be beneficial. A full and detailed working knowledge of the most widely used forms of building contract.
