We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join the Smart Metering team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

The Smart Metering team with Waste Water Delivery are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
You will provide project administration support services to the Smart Metering Team, covering financial SAP functionality and access data from Asset Inventory, Engineering Document Management System (EDMS), Business Risk Management (BRM), Direct Procurement (ARIBA) Programme Prioritisation Management System (PPMS) and corporate data management systems etc. The role includes the production and control of financial reporting documentation, and adhoc analysis as required.
As our Project Coordinator you will be asked:
- To follow corporate governance procedures for assisting with project funding authorisations, through to asset settlement and project closure.
- Assist scheme progress update meetings, set agendas, take minutes, and create, update, and maintain action, risk, and issues logs.
- Support the delivery team by administering the project management financial system and producing governance approval information.
- Analyse and capture project outperformance and cycle times and report this information to the Smart Metering management team.
- Adhoc analysis of the smart metering programme including reporting for Drive to Thrive, PeX, Monthly Contract Performance and other as required.
- Support communication activities, such as presentations (APB/BIC etc), dissemination of key information to vendors, training/testing events and team building events.
- Collate project completion asset handover data from the delivery team and disseminate this information to the relevant parties in a timely manner to achieve financial closure of the scheme.
- Develop effective communication skills to enable excellent liaison with the wider business functions, interacting with Asset Integrity, Asset Planning, Asset Programme Management & Finance Business Partnering (Assets), Service Delivery and Contract Partners.
- Take responsibility for management and co-ordination of the resource management meetings calendar and assist with analysing of the resource performance monitoring and actions.
- Demonstrate relentless drive, energy, and determination to deliver sustainable outperformance for YW that rigorously achieves against demanding competitive industry benchmarks.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Experience of projects, partnership working and financial management.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to proactively self-manage own workload whilst maintaining effective operational relationships.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work across all levels and functions.
- Report writing and presentation skills.
- Experience of and proficiency of financial systems such as SAP/BRM/PPMS/ARIBA.
- Analytical and reporting skills; has experience in interrogating corporate systems, analysing & interpreting data.
- Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office products i.e., Office 365 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Current valid driving licence and flexibility to travel across the Yorkshire region.
- A willingness to receive training for your continuous professional development.
You will also benefit from having:
- Previous experience in a commercially orientated and/or regulated environment.
- Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process, or manufacturing industry sectors.
- Previous experience of ISO55000/PAS 55 Quality Assurance Systems.
