The Opportunity

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving business performance? As a Financial Controller, you’ll support the Finance Director and partner the General Managers & the commercials teams to provide financial support, analysis, and challenge; playing a key role in achieving business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and offer strategic insights & challenge to improve performance.
• Provide actionable performance analysis and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Proactively offering solutions aligned with the strategic objectives.
• Ensure effective cost control, supporting operational excellence to enhance efficiency.
• Lead cash flow and working capital optimisation initiatives, including inventory reduction.
• Responsible for general balance sheet management; conducting regular reviews to highlight risks & opportunities, and ensuring compliance with internal and external accounting policies and regulations.
• Oversee product margins (Price and Cost) to inform decision-making and contribute to commercial opportunities.
• Potential to lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous development.

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Accountant, experience managing both P&L and Balance Sheet is preferable.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (E1/SAP), reporting systems (Insight, Business Objects, Qlikview), and Microsoft/Google products.
• Proficient in building and managing Budgets & Forecasts in detail.
• Proven experience in multi-function stakeholder engagement and building strong relationships.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to deal with large amounts of data.
