The Finance Administrator role is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the business. The Finance Administrator is predominantly responsible for assisting the Accounts Department in all accounting functions. This role also incorporates an element of IT administration providing technical support on a first line basis, overseeing support requests from internal employees.
FINANCE: MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing purchase invoices for suppliers and subcontractors
- Liaise with Contracts Team to ensure timely invoice approval
- Raising purchase orders
- Processing mid-month and month end payment runs
- Enter payments on to accounting software
- CIS submissions to HMRC
- Month end processes i.e. Reconciling supplier accounts
- General accounts admin
- Answering calls to the business and assist clients and suppliers as required
- Filing all approved & issued invoices, electronically
IT: MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshooting connectivity issues
- Liaising with external IT support company
- Mapping network drives
- Microsoft Outlook support
- Escalation of wide-scale issues
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Previous administration experience
- Competent IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Attention to detail & Self driven
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to multitask and be pro-active
- Excellent organisational skills
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Desirable: AAT, GCSE in IT (or equivalent), SAGE 200 experience, Experience in an IT role
- Required: GCSE Maths & English, Valid UK Clean Driving Licence
