We are looking for a Software Development Lead to work within a small team of java developers to interpret business requirements and technical specifications for education establishments. You will develop software for the application suite, including analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation.

The Role:

  • Consulting on and designing software products.
  • Development of Java applications.
  • Maintaining service delivery and resolving system issues.
  • Development implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures relating to the software development process.
  • Ensure team members have the skills and knowledge required to undertake development tasks.

What We're Looking For:

  • Technical leadership within a software development environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of software design principles and best practice (Agile Methodology, Object Oriented programming).
  • Recent experience of designing, developing and maintaining large, interconnected, Java/Jakarta EE applications with a variety of technologies and protocols (for example, Web Services, Rest, EJB).
  • Recent experience developing, and performance tuning databases (preferably PostgreSQL and / or Microsoft SQL Server).
