Skilled Bench Joiner is required for a bespoke furniture manufacturer on the outskirts of York. Working with a variety of woods, including soft and hard woods, you will be responsible for producing high quality, bespoke products in a workshop environment. The successful applicant will have significant wood working experience, strong attention to detail, take pride in their work and have a desire to create bespoke furniture to a high standard.

The role:

  • Producing bespoke one-off and small batch products to customer requirements
  • Working with hard and soft woods
  • Reading and working to manufacturing drawings unsupervised
  • Working to high quality standards
  • Using a range of hand tools and operating machinery and saws
  • Working to production targets
  • Working in line with health and safety standards

The Person will:

  • Have confident bench joinery experience in a quality driven environment
  • Be able to read and work to drawings
  • Work as an enthusiastic and flexible member of the team
  • Be organised and methodical, paying attention to detail
  • Be reliable with a good record of attendance and timekeeping
