About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems, as well as working on pumps, pressurisation units, and other key components of heating systems. Based in Edinburgh, the role will primarily cover Central & Eastern Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, and repair of commercial gas systems.
- Work on a range of heating system components, including pumps, pressurisation units, and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Perform gas safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Complete necessary documentation, including job reports and compliance records.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
- Travel throughout Scotland as required to meet business and client needs.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Commercial Gas Qualifications (e.g., CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A).
- Proven experience working as a commercial gas engineer.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, pressurisation units, and heating system components.
- Full UK driving licence (essential for travel requirements).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel across Scotland, including overnight stays when required.
Desirable
- Experience working within the facilities management or building services sector.
- Additional mechanical or electrical qualifications.
- F-Gas certification or experience working with HVAC systems.
