This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a dynamic family within a fully staffed home in Chelsea. We are looking for an experienced Nanny to support the well-being of their two children aged 9 and 10. While the home set-up is more formal, we seek a warm, fun-spirited nanny who will inspire through setting good examples.
We are keen to consider nannies who have worked with this pre-teen age group. Ideally, you will have a creative, engaging personality with excellent communication skills. During term time, the days will involve:
- Arriving at 12.30pm to ensure that everything is set up
- Driving to school pick-up
- Supervising after-school activities and dinner until 8.30pm
During school holidays, the days will be full days and will also involve travel with the family. We are therefore looking for someone who is well-travelled and comfortable in a diverse range of cultural settings. A European language, particularly French, would be a plus. You must have a full UK driving licence and live within a 40-minute commute from South Kensington.
Main elements of the role will include:
- Managing school pick-ups and after-school routines (liaising with the driver where necessary)
- Planning creative and educational activities to inspire curiosity and exploration
- Encouraging physical activity, outdoor play, and sports
- Supporting children’s musical interests and development
- Maintaining a clean, organised environment and promoting good habits
- Travelling with the family during school holidays, providing stimulating age-appropriate childcare and activities
- Liaising with parents to ensure aligned goals and schedules
- Coordinating playdates, birthday parties, and parent group communications
- Updating the principal regularly on children's well-being and task progress
- Coordinating with the family EA to manage the children’s calendar for school events, exams, and activities
- Organising weekly schedules, including appointments and extracurriculars
- Handling school supplies, uniforms, and other essentials (liaising with housekeeping staff where necessary)
- Assisting with household administration related to the children
