A new and exciting opportunity has opened up in our IT & Change team for a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer. As the first QA Engineer on the team, you will have the autonomy to influence our processes and improve our operational functions while working on exciting projects. Currently, we have 20 bespoke internal applications, and we plan to expand as the business continues to flourish. Key Responsibilities:- Champion QA best practices across the organisation.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to upskill our IT & Change team and share insights on industry standards.
- Design and implement robust QA processes that align with our goals, ensuring efficient and scalable testing methodologies.
- Define and maintain comprehensive testing strategies for both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Standardise QA processes, including defect management and test reporting, to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Lead the creation of detailed test plans, ensuring thorough coverage of product features and user flows.
- Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests, providing accurate and timely defect reporting.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure that comprehensive test coverage aligns with business objectives.
- Drive continuous feedback loops between QA and development teams, ensuring quality throughout the development process.
- Manage defects using a bug tracking system, ensuring timely resolution and conducting root cause analysis.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to manage expectations and mitigate quality-related risks.
- Proven experience in a QA engineering role with a track record of leading teams and establishing QA processes.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or other relevant frameworks.
- Experience in mentoring and providing guidance to a diverse team.
- Strong understanding of various testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and acceptance testing.
- Demonstrated experience in optimising QA processes, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying testing activities, defects, and improvements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- ISTQB/ISEB qualification is a plus, but not essential.
