Uniserve, a leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, is seeking a dynamic and driven Transport Manager to lead our busy South Kirkby operating centre. This is a crucial role, responsible for the safe, compliant, and cost-effective management of a significant national general haulage operation.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm
What you'll do:
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team of 70 drivers and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Oversee the efficient operation of over 40 motives, ensuring seamless national haulage services.
- Manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring adherence to our high standards.
- Guarantee full compliance with all transport regulations and legislation.
- Drive cost efficiency through strategic planning and effective resource management.
- Collaborate with other network sites to optimise service delivery and support business growth.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
