Location: Glouchester
Our client, a van and truck dealership, is seeking an HGV Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will need to ensure the highest possible levels of productive efficiency, quality of work and production finish.
Role: HGV Technician
Hours: Mon to Fri - 6am to 2pm; 2pm - 11pm; every other Saturday 7am to 12pm
Responsibilities of HGV Technician:
- Conducting thorough vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues.
- Using diagnostic equipment to pinpoint problems with the engine, brakes, transmission, electrical systems, etc.
- Performing repairs on engines, suspension systems, brake systems, electrical systems, and more.
- Replacing worn-out parts like tires, filters, spark plugs, batteries, etc.
- Performing oil changes, fluid checks, and regular vehicle maintenance.
- Ensuring that all repairs are completed according to safety standards and legal requirements.
- Discussing issues with customers to explain the necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Providing cost estimates and advising on preventative maintenance to avoid future problems.
Requirements for HGV Technician:
- C&G, NVQ 3 or equivalent
- HGV Technician: 3 years
- Time-served Technicians also considered
- Van mechanic: 3 years
- An experience working in a dealership is preferable.
