2-3 days in the office - Stunning location | Experience within food & drinks. Selling into retailer multiples - essential. It's food and drink, so you'll need to be creative in your methods, with a balance of utilising modern tech and traditional sales tactics. They sell their products through to many of the top retailers already, but there's always room for more, and the business has got some big visions of where the products could be headed.
Whilst the role is titled as 'National', it's an international reach position (but with very little international travel). The products are really well received, and given the business is scaling currently, they're looking for someone who has experience of driving revenues from an existing seven-digit revenue stream to eight digits in the next two years. We need a hunter, someone able to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving business operating at the peak of trending foods. The products are healthy, and it'll require someone able to sell a range which is at a premium for a reason. You got it, the products are really good for you!
At the heart of this role is the ability to sell products alongside an ever-growing brand name. The senior team are prolific entrepreneurs, and they've got a wealth of knowledge and experience of both scaling and maximising overall business potential; they just need someone with that hunger to be part of the journey and the ability to be at the forefront of sales activity.
You’ll have:
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth within FMCG.
- Account Management: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
- Negotiation & Influencing: Excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Use the power of persuasion to educate about health benefits and core ingredients.
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead and build a comprehensive sales plan.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You'd be the champion of competitor analysis and you'd consider your sales tactics around what's in the market already.
- Communication & Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to guide internal stakeholders visually, also.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the FMCG market, including trends, competitors, and customer behaviour.
- Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness and extremely target driven.
This role does need someone with a recent history of selling products with a long sales cycle. The products are sold on shelves in the best retailers, so you'll need to have experience of working with similar food or drinks products.
