Job Title: Biomedical Scientist
Trust: Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust
Location: Worcester Royal Hospital, Worcester, WR5 1JR
Ward: Microbiology
Shift Patterns: 30 hours per week, Mon – Thur 9.00am – 17.00pm

Job Responsibilities:
- Data entry of patient and specimen requests and results onto the laboratory computer system and / or automated analysers using DSE equipment.
- Daily routine and specialised Microbiological diagnostic investigations on potentially infectious patient and environmental samples using manual and automated techniques.
- Monitor stocks of kits, reagents and consumables and report stock deficiencies to an Associate Practitioner or Senior BMS.
What you’ll need:
- HCPC registered
- Practise as a Registered Biomedical Scientist
- Microbiology Experience
- A Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent.
In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of
- Relevant Qualifications
- Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
