Job Description
F&B Assistant
Location: The Pilchard Inn Burgh Island
F/T: Permanent vacancies available
Salary: £11.44 per hour (up to £23,795.20 per annum)

This well-known Pub/Bar is looking for waiting staff for its Pub Bar and Café to deliver a great customer experience to all guests.
A career at Burgh Island is unique and not for the faint-hearted. Island life brings several challenges in terms of location and working hours.
Responsibilities for the role:
- To perform daily and deep cleaning duties as directed
- Check guests’ identification as appropriate.
- To ensure that the manager is informed of requirements for food stock, equipment, and chemicals as appropriate & with sufficient
- Check all menu items are available at the start of your shift and advise guests of unavailable items when menus are presented.
- To ensure the safety of Hotel and Pilchard Inn guests and other team members on & off your shift
- To prepare all areas of the business for lunch and dinner service ensuring quality and cleanliness standards are adhered to
- Ensure menus are printed and ready for service.
- To understand and be able to advise guests on matters of allergens and intolerances, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Ensure the guests receive efficient, friendly service.
- To clean and restock the coffee machine, restocking the condiments, drinks preparation area, and service equipment.
- Perform any cashing up duties
- To ensure all wastage is recorded according to the correct procedure.
- To be aware of guest allergies, before orders are taken.
