Job Description
We are looking for 3.5 driver, within the Tonbridge area. To carry out deliveries and collections in around the surrounding area. Must be capable of working in a fast pace environment. Must have over one year’s experience in commercial driving. This is an ongoing driving day work, with a view to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Main Duties
- As a representative of the organisation your general appearance and attitude must all be exemplary.
- Drivers must have a 'can-do’ attitude at all times. If there’s a problem, it is your responsibility to help resolve it, either through your own initiative or by working with the customer or the Company to reach a positive outcome.
- If a customer becomes difficult you should always remain calm, acknowledge the problem and not take anything personal.
- When making a delivery, always be courteous and polite.
- If a customer is not available to take the delivery, it is important that the delivery is not left unattended, unless prior authorisation has been given by the depot.
- Before setting off you must carry out an inspection of the vehicle and record all defects.
- Must be able to move heavy objects, unload and reload flatbed van on own as and when required.
- Must ensure all delivery paperwork it correctly processed
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have a 3.5 licence with one year’s experience in commercial driving.
- Must be able to drive a flatbed van.
- We cannot accept drivers that have more than 6 points on their licence and have been convicted of a DD, DR, INT endorsement.
- Must be capable of unloading and loading heavy goods
Working Hours
- Days, Mondays to Fridays and weekend shifts available.
