Projects LawyerEdinburgh/ Glasgow/ Hybrid- WorkingInternational law firm, Tier 1 ranked team£Negotiable + Benefits + Bonus Leading international law firm are currently looking to recruit a lawyer to join their highly successful and established Projects team based in their Edinburgh offices- this is a exceptional opportunity to be part of both a UK-wide and international Projects team. Role Profile: The team act for private and public sector clients (including international Governments), funders, and consortia, across a range of sectors, including social infrastructure projects, transport and waste, in the UK and Internationally- They understand the commercial, strategic, technical, geographical and political factors that shape and impact their clients, and our market leading presence allows them first-hand access to contacts, sponsors and key decision makers worldwide. The position offers an excellent opportunity to play a leading role in high profile and path-finding transactions across the UK and Internationally. The role will involve working on: Advising private and public sector clients, funders and consortia on UK Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), across sectors. As well as advising on the procurement and negotiation of projects up to financial close, our work frequently sees us providing advice and support to our clients post-close, during the construction and operational phases. Advice in the Health, Education and Transport sectors, in particular. Public Procurement (domestic and international).International Infrastructure Projects, including regulatory drafting and PPP toolkits.Candidate Requirements:An ability to lead and project manage a number of high profile cases independently.Experience negotiating project agreements, sub-contracts and ancillary project documents, with limited supervision, during all phases of the project cycle. Experience leading on the dialogue phase of PPP-type projects would be beneficial.Experience advising on public procurement would be beneficial. Commercially astute and stays current on key legal and business news.Excellent skills in communication, client relations, and team-working.
