For over 30 years we have provided disabled children and their families with specialist equipment, growing to become the largest charitable provider of essential equipment for disabled children in the UK and the only one offering an emergency response, delivering items directly to family homes within 72 hours. We also run a free, national nurse-staffed helpline. The role We are recruiting a Volunteer Manager to join the team at Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children. Newlifes strategic plan identifies volunteering as a goal to increase the impact of our work.We want to build on our existing successes and think more strategically about the involvement and engagement of volunteers, to provide a high-quality volunteer experience and make volunteering at Newlife sustainable. This role will be key in driving forward the organisation’s volunteer strategy and help set the direction of where we will focus our energy and resources over the next 3 years. You will build on the amazing contributions of our existing volunteers, ensuring they are supported and recognised, while building our plans to develop our volunteering programme. At its heart will always be our commitment to making sure volunteers feel valued and appreciated. This is the perfect role for anyone who loves to engage and motivate people, who can develop new plans and see them through, who likes to be out and about within the community and at events, and who understands that no two days are the same.
