Position: Children's Residential Support WorkerLocation: Doncaster, South YorkshireSalary: £27,000 – £35,000 per annum (including sleep-in allowance).

We have days or waking night positions available.We have senior levels available at a higher pay grade.Job Type: Part Time 21 hours contract wake nights, Permanent – Hours of work are flexible and determined by the needs of the service and are on a shift basis which includes early mornings and late-night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays. Potential sleep overnight shifts.Do you want to help Doncaster City Council ensure their aims of ensuring that every child is safe from harm, active in the community and have fun?Our goals:We believe that every Children’s Services employee can contribute to make our vision a reality and we encouraged everyone to work as part of the directorate team to shape children and family centred local services based on our priorities of:Helping children to live in safe and supportive families ensuring that we protect the most vulnerable encouraging activity and healthy eating improving support where there are additional health needs promoting sexual health readiness for school improving behaviour, attendance and achievement reducing the numbers of young people who are not in employment, education or training providing opportunities for play, leisure, culture and sporting opportunities reducing youth crime and anti-social behaviour increasing participation, voice and influence     Role:-  Under the general direction of the Registered Manager, Senior Staff and Care Offices, you will work as a team to deliver a high standard of care which meets the individual needs of the children and young people both socially and emotionally.-  To make and maintain positive relationships with the children and young people, and to safely meet the physical care and management needs of children and young people who may present challenging behaviour. –  To offer additional and supplementary cover to the existing staff teams within children’s homes on an “as and when” basisDoncaster City Council are open to people with transferable skills and a good mind-set, so if have worked with children then please add as much detail in your CV to be booked in for an interview.
