Cloud 9 is seeking a talented Packaging Designer to join their dynamic Design Team in the Southwest. The Role
Primarily a structural design role, this position allows you to harness your skills in both 2D and 3D design, transforming client briefs into successful production-ready solutions. The role is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy the challenge of taking projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues, customers and suppliers to develop customer approved solutions meeting their needs and requirements.
- Manage enquiries and samples competently ensuring timely delivery, from initial concept through to completion.
- Maintain clear communication between sales and operational teams.
- Ensure all information provided to the factory aligns with customer requirements.
- Produce accurate CAD designs and drawings for packaging solutions.
- Create samples for customer to assess and approve.
- Operate the selected design system and business software effectively.
- Generate conceptual artwork, 3D visuals, and mock-up samples.
Skills and Experience
- At least 2 years\’ experience in a similar role within the Packaging Industry.
- Design Engineering experience (a graduate designer will be considered).
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Graphic design experience would be beneficial.
- Ideally proficient in CAD; Artios or Kasemake, Adobe Suite, Excel etc.
- Good knowledge of factory manufacturing processes and abilities.
- Proven record of delivering results consistently and taking responsibility.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player.
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
- Excellent product knowledge and an understanding of processes from concept through to production.
- A confidence and ability to challenge new and existing designs.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
