Cloud 9 is seeking a talented Packaging Designer to join their dynamic Design Team in the Southwest. This role offers a unique chance to work on innovative projects, providing optimised solutions across various markets. The Role
Primarily a structural design role, this position allows you to harness your skills in both 2D and 3D design, transforming client briefs into successful production-ready solutions. The role is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy the challenge of taking projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues, customers and suppliers to develop customer approved solutions meeting their needs and requirements.
  • Manage enquiries and samples competently ensuring timely delivery, from initial concept through to completion.
  • Maintain clear communication between sales and operational teams.
  • Ensure all information provided to the factory aligns with customer requirements.
  • Produce accurate CAD designs and drawings for packaging solutions.
  • Create samples for customer to assess and approve.
  • Operate the selected design system and business software effectively.
  • Generate conceptual artwork, 3D visuals, and mock-up samples.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 2 years\’ experience in a similar role within the Packaging Industry.
  • Design Engineering experience (a graduate designer will be considered).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Graphic design experience would be beneficial.
  • Ideally proficient in CAD; Artios or Kasemake, Adobe Suite, Excel etc.
  • Good knowledge of factory manufacturing processes and abilities.
  • Proven record of delivering results consistently and taking responsibility.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent product knowledge and an understanding of processes from concept through to production.
  • A confidence and ability to challenge new and existing designs.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Flexible.
