CNC Miller Programmer
Our client has extensive workshopand a comprehensive range of CNC machine tools, modern tooling, fabrication facilities and a highly skilled workforce to support their commitment to consistently high standards of product and service. We are assisting this business in their requirement for a CNC Programmer.
Key skills required from The CNC Miller Programmer:
- Must have over 5 years working experience as a CNC Miller
- Ability to write programs from technical drawings is required
- Ideally Heidenhain programming but will consider Fanuc as well
- Medium/Large Milling and Boring experience
- A good understanding of Engineering Drawings, which include: Machining Symbols, Tolerances and Geometric Tolerances
- Ability to check own work using measuring equipment (Micrometers, Slip Gauges etc.)
- Worked within a Subcontract environment
- Apprenticeship in an engineering workshop, CNC Machinist, or proven experience in the workplace with either structured and/or demonstrable experience
The successful CNC Miller Programmer willbe working as part of a small team within a precision sub-contract machining company.
You will be required to work on our CNC Milling machines/Horizontal Borers and be confident in Setting, Programming, Milling and Boring.
In return our client are offering an excellent hourly rate, free onsite parking and benefits to be confirmed.
Hours of work – Monday – Thursday8 – 4.30 and Friday 8 – 3.30 (38 hours)
