Week 1: Monday – Friday: START TIMES 07:00 or 11:00
Week 2: Monday – Saturday: START TIMES 07:00 or 11:00

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Derby, Staffordshire.

Rates of Pay:
- Basic: £14.00 per hour
- Saturday: £21.00 per hour
- Sunday: £28.00 per hour
Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- Store collections and then delivering to residential addresses
- Operate and drive various 7.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category C1 Licence
- Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving C1 vehicles round urban areas
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
- Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training:
- Driver\’s Assessment will have to be completed
- After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
- SSOW prior to starting
- Bridge strike training prior to starting
