Manufacturing Process Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer of bespoke components within the automotive industry, based in the Nottingham area. They are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join the team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing new manufacturing processes and continuous improvement strategies whilst designing and maintaining tooling, jigs and fixtures.

Manufacturing Process Engineer Job Overview

  • Working with toolmakers and equipment provider to deliver new manufacturing requirements for NPI projects
  • Producing designs on jigs, fixtures and press tooling using Catia
  • Generate process flow chart, PFMEA\’s and control plans
  • Driving continuous improvement projects
  • Identifying areas of risk to product quality
  • Producing tooling and equipment maintenance schedules
  • Liaising and chasing of suppliers and sending through CAD drawings for production
  • Assisting the in-house repair of production equipment
  • Producing technical specifications for suppliers

Manufacturing Process Engineer Job Requirements

  • Experienced with 3D & 2D CAD for the design of layout plans, tooling, jigs and fixtures
  • Proven background within a Process or Manufacturing Engineering role
  • Understanding of tools such as APQP, FMEA & PPAP
  • Good understanding of GD&T principles
  • Based in a commutable distance of Nottingham
  • Full UK Driving License

Manufacturing Process Engineer Salary & Benefits

  • Salary £30,000 – £42,000 depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour working week. Flexible start & finish times.
