The position of Class 2 Day Driver involves:
- Making multi drop collections and deliveries of pallets using a curtain sided vehicle fitted with a tail lift, across the central belt.
- Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
- Using a hand held PDA to complete daily vehicle checks.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers\’ expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 2 Day Driver:
- Must hold a UK Class 2 C Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Hold a current ADR licence.
- Experience of working with tail lifts and pallet truck.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
