Key Skills / Experience required:
- Experience of working with ISO9001 and AS9100 (essential)
- Familiar with inspection and quality control (essential)
- Good computer skills including advanced Excel
- Good record keeping
- Must have a professional manner, good attention to detail and work well in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised, be self-motivated, flexible and organised
- Experience working in the aerospace industry (desirable)
The Role:
- To assist and support the Quality Manager in all duties according to the Quality Management System.
- To conduct receipt inspection and the booking in of purchased product from suppliers, as well as helping with outgoing despatches.
- Review of customer specifications and quality requirements for a wide range of products and implementing changes.
- Review and editing of procedures.
- Raise supplier corrective action requests to reject parts at inbound inspection.
- Assist with investigations into customer complaints and rejects.
- Generate quality performance reports as and when required.
- Maintain good working relationships with the customers and internal departments
- Assist in the company stock take and help maintain stock integrity
- To adhere to all VBC internal procedures / policies and company handbook.
- To adhere to all VBC health & safety procedures as well as regulatory requirements
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role
