An international milk and dairy products company is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 and 2 Drivers to deliver its products quickly and efficiently to clients from Hoddesdon to London and the surrounding areas.
The Role
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle roll cage deliveries. If you have a passion for driving and enjoy working independently, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Operate a lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while maintaining the highest standards of safety.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cage cargo, safely and securely.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and operational protocols.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Driving License at least one years old with up to date CPC card and Tacho card.
- A clean driving record with no more than 6 points and no major endorsements..
- At least 1 years proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles, HGV 2 or 1 level in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cages in to retail stores.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- A commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
