Role Summary:
Aon-hand Merchandising Assistant to manage stock levels across multiple locations by raising purchase orders and tracking their deliveries, whilst maintaining an accurate PO Book in order to provide the rest of the business with the correct and most up to date information.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in the expediting of Purchase orders
- Updating of order confirmations
- Confirm lead times, source alternatives, while liaising with internal stakeholders
- Aiding weekly & monthly reports and collating performance analysis
- Grow and develop close cooperation and relationships with internal stakeholders, project teams and external suppliers
- Enhance the UK nationwide supply chain, strengthening and focusing with key suppliers
- Engage in continuous dialogue with key suppliers
- Work closely with the Buying and Supply Chain Team, helping to implement new procedures and initiatives to increase business productivity.
- Work towards continuous improvement. Keen to stay ahead of the competition.
About you
- Previous Merchandising experience
- Experince of ERP sysytems
- Exceptional skills in managing a heavy workload and conflicting demands, whilst consistently producing high-quality work to tight deadlines
- Experience of liaising with colleagues from operational to senior director level
- First class communication skills, personal confidence, and the ability to influence others
- Intermediate to advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
- Meticulous written and verbal communication skills
Planning and Organising:
- Ability to organise own workload
- Ability to prioritise work and deliver to tight deadlines
- Able to maintain accurate and timely records as required by the role
- Identifies and knows how to solve everyday job-based problems in liaison with manager
