LOCATION:Remote working with occasional travel to Bristol & Southampton and elsewhere in the UK.

JOB SUMMARY:

The key purpose of the Capacity Planning Analyst is to support our residential installations contracts within the telecoms sector of our Connections business by calculating headcount requirements for target volumes and establishing achievable volumes given current headcounts. This role is crucial in ensuring operational and financial excellence across our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for considering factors such as skill availability, resource availability, attrition, shrinkage (sickness/holiday), and success rates, all while utilising raw data to inform decisions.

The role holder will work closely with two distinct sets of internal stakeholders, each representing different clients with unique approaches and requirements. This involves understanding the specific needs and expectations of each client and tailoring solutions accordingly. The Capacity Planning Analyst will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our internal teams and clients, ensuring that we meet our clients\’ varying demands efficiently and effectively.

In addition to headcount calculations and volume establishment, the role involves building and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers. The Capacity Planning Analyst will also be responsible for preparing and presenting reports on capacity planning, highlighting key insights and recommendations to senior management. Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role, with the successful candidate expected to identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness in capacity planning.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Headcount Calculation: Determine the necessary headcount to meet target volumes, taking into account various factors such as skill availability, resource availability, attrition, shrinkage, and success rates.

Volume Establishment: Establish achievable volumes based on current headcounts and other influencing factors.

Data Utilisation: Use raw data to perform calculations and provide insights that support informed decision-making.

Client Management: Work closely with two distinct clients, understanding their unique approaches and requirements to tailor solutions accordingly.

Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including operations and human resources, to ensure alignment and effective resource management.

Reporting: Prepare and present reports on capacity planning, highlighting key insights and recommendations to senior management.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in capacity planning.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers.

Problem Solving: Effectively take a problem statement, understand the detail, and produce effective recommendations that are easy to understand, tangible, and easily consumable by a field-based operation.

Proactive Opportunities: Proactively spot opportunities within the organisation and bring them to the attention of senior management to help inform future strategy.

Presentation: Present to a wide audience of people on a frequent basis, portraying why our business should remain the partner of choice.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

Experience within a telco sector
Proven track recording to producing insights which have supported the delivery of successful outcomes.
Self-motivated, result driven and thrives in a busy working environment.

SKILLS:

Strong communication skills and abilities to build solid relationships with key stakeholders
Strong analytical and data visualisation skills proficient in the use of Power BI, Excel, SQL and Sharepoint.

COMPETENCIES:

Ability to manage a complex group of operational and non-operational stakeholders.
Ability to work as part of a virtual team.
Ability to utilise insight in order to drive business decisions and outcomes applying operational insight and excellent problem solving capability.
Effectively present recommendations and findings up to MD level.
