Are you proficient in contract resolution (upstream and downstream) and take pride in commercial contracts using NEC3 / NEC4, or JCT, ECC, TSC? Your solid Early Warning Notice (EWN) expertise will ensure that you can minimise or mitigate risk.Our client is an end-to-end solutions provider for global digital networks, designing, building, and managing solutions for hyper-scale networks on a B2B basis.

They seek a stand-alone Commercial Manager with extensive civils and Telecoms deployment (ideally fibre and copper cabling) experience gained within a major capital build / infrastructure programme. If you have no Telecoms but substantial Utilities experience our client will also consider you. Typically you will have Quantity Surveyor experience as well as having held a Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager or similar role currently.

Reporting to the COO, you will have around 5 direct reports (QS, Project Co-ordinators and Commercial Analysts) who are already a successful team but will benefit from your leadership skills.

This is a full-time hybrid role as a Commercial Manager (Midlands or Northern UK) with some flexibility for remote work for a superstar. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for business planning, contract management, team management, and analytical skills in overseeing commercial operations and driving growth.

You will be using customer portals to ensure the Engineers reports, CVRs, AFPs & PNs are all aligned and reconciled against contract requirements.

You will manage Capex & Opex spend, working closely with the Finance team.

Your strong financial management and reporting experience will be put to good use through leading on maximising value and minimising costs for projects. Youll develop monthly, quarterly and annual revenue budgets and report on actuals against budgets.

Qualifications required

  • Commercial Management and Contract Management expertise (NEC &/or JCT accredited preferred)

  • Analytical Skills and Business Planning abilities

  • Experience in Team Management

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • Knowledge of commercial law and regulations

  • Industry knowledge of Telecoms &/or Utilities (Gas, Electricity, Water etc)

  • Relevant Bachelor\’s degree in QS, Construction, Commerce, or related field
