The predicted salary is between 22800 - 42000 £ per year.
The position is focused on building and operating the company Export Consol Program, improving buying power and profitability. Alongside profitability, we expect to enhance customer service. You will be involved in customs clearances, quotes, arranging shipments, and associated documents with a focus on consolidation of shipments, flight tracking, cost approval, invoicing, rate negotiation, and other functions as required. The individual should be prepared for multi-modal activities and provide support to the supervisor during holidays and absences.
Key Activities:
- Remain in contact with Partners, Airlines, and other suppliers to maintain relationships
- Cost control and rate negotiation
- Understanding and completion of end-to-end forwarding activities as required
- Focus on communications between office and warehouse
- Improve processes and customer service
- Follow strict and time-sensitive SOPs/KPIs to ensure compliance
- Work closely with internal and external customers
- Use of CargoWise/MS Office as requested
- Ensure invoicing and job costing are updated within the required timeframe
- Month-end department compliance
- Customs Entries and closing of MUCRs
- Assist Supervisors and line managers where required
- Ensure all reports, including internal and customer-specific, are completed within the deadline
- Resolve queries from customers and suppliers
- Ensure Best Practice models are adopted
- Work closely with the line manager to complete internal and external rates reviews
- Assist sales and management with consol development
- Operate within the company's QA system
- Always remain customs and H&S compliant
- Any other tasks as directed by their Supervisor or line manager
Technical Experience:
- Fully PC literate on Excel and Word applications
- Educated to GCSE/O level standard or equivalent
- Good Customs clearance knowledge
- Good operational knowledge
- A high level of customer service skills

The salary will be up to £38K depending on experience. The hours will be circa 10.30am to 7pm Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required.
