We are working with our client who are a leading CNC Manufacturing business based in Gateshead in their search for a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis. You will be centrally positioned in a team within the quality department to maintain and improve the standard of manufacturing across the business. Responsibilities: Perform quality control activities to ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement quality improvement initiatives. Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed. Root cause analysis on issues and record keeping etc Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, procedures, and work instructions. Work closely with suppliers to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement in the supply chain. The Person: Degree in Engineering or a related field (advantageous) Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role, preferably within the CNC or component manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of quality management systems and tools. Familiarity with inspection techniques, statistical methods, and quality standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
