About the Opportunity
Commercial Services is part of the Enabling Services Directorate provided by Staffordshire Police, to ensure all our Officers are supported with the correct tools to be able to deliver their critical jobs. Commercial Services currently consists of a team of 20 colleagues working across Procurement, Purchasing, Insurance and Sustainability. An opportunity has arisen for an Insurance Apprentice, working alongside the other members of the Insurance Unit. This is a great opportunity to have first-hand experience of working within a busy Insurance Unit, whilst gaining the theory and qualifications within Insurance to progress into a career.
The Insurance Apprentice will be responsible for supporting the Insurance Unit team in the administration and the management of insurance claims, assist in the investigation of claims, to retrieve the necessary documentation and data and to understand the Force insurance arrangements, whilst also having support and guidance to commit to, and work towards, achieving the Level 3 Insurance Apprenticeship programme. Although Public Sector or some basic insurance experience would be great, itβs not essential. Maths and English at GCSE however, are essential.
We would love to have the right individual who can come in to help and support the Insurance Team and work towards the overall Commercial Services vision within the Staffordshire Policing Plan. Further details of the key tasks, responsibilities can be found within the role profile.
