Job Description
Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an Aftercare Personal Advisor to start a new role in Trafford, Greater Manchester.
As an Aftercare Personal Advisor, you will support care leavers living independently in the community. You will also work in partnership with other agencies to ensure that young people leaving care receive the highest quality of service possible.
The working hours for this role are Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30pm. You would be office based for 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
To provide a purposeful, professional social work service within a multi-agency team to children in need and their families, including the assessment of their needs, in accordance with statutory requirements and within the service procedures/guidelines.
To offer advice to young people who are in care where there is a Transition Plan for them to move to independent living placements and to work jointly with their Social Worker in preparing plans for their independence.
To offer and advice and support to young people who have left care
Applicant Requirements:
Experience: Experience of working with young people
Qualifications: NVQ level 3 childcare/ social care or equivalent relevant qualification (desirable)
Compliance: Enhanced DBS, Right to Work in the UK
Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3 days a week in the office
Travel: Full UK driving license
