We are looking for highly motivated, skilled and reliable Support Workers in the Grimsby area. To support a male client with ADHD and Autism and challenging behaviour. Male only due to the nature of the role. To work Days only - 08:00-20:00. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 as there is a genuine occupational need to recruit Males due to the nature of the role.
You will need:
- Caring, patient and empathetic nature
- Experience of communication with people at all levels and excellent communication skills
- Motivation to make a difference to our clients
- 6 months experience of supporting clients with Learning Disabilities and Complex Behaviours
- Full working rights to work in the UK (VP do not offer sponsorship)
Your role would include:
- Supporting with daily living tasks including maintaining a healthy diet, domestic responsibilities, attending appointments, promoting independence, accessing the community and attending daily activities, working alongside the MDT
- Prompting with personal care tasks
- Cognitive and behavioural support via the use of effective management strategies such as positive behaviour support
- Access to meaningful activities in the community and within the home
- Maintaining daily records and relevant documentation required
Shift - 08:00-20:00
