Job Description
Do you have previous shipping or freight forwarding experience? Maybe only 12 months, or perhaps 20 years? Our client, a forward thinking & modern logistics company is looking to make their next hire The Role: You will be responsible for managing shipments from start to finish. Predominantly import sea freight, but you will also have the opportunity to manage export roles, plus all modes of transport, including road & airfreight.You will be responsible for dealing with overseas agents, carriers & suppliers, negotiating rates and compiling quotations, managing shipments, completing Customs entries, arranging delivery and the tracking of cargo. Essential Criteria:
- Previous freight forwarding / shipping / logistics experience
- Familiar with shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading
- Good customer services skills
- Good IT knowledge
Desirable Criteria:
- Transport experience
- Exposure to air, sea & road movements
- Customs entry experience
