Assisting in the delivery of classroom based and outdoor educational activities

Collaborating with teachers, TAs and parents to ensure effective support and progress

Working with a team to create a safe, supportive learning environment
We are recruiting for a higher needs TA with experience working in the SEN/SEMH setting

The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable of safety interventions and have experience in SEN education. Successful candidates will be responsible for supporting students with SEN and challenging behaviours in small group settings on or off site or on a 1:1 basis
Applicants should have good communication skills, a passion for teaching and learning and the ability to work with students of all ages and backgrounds. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the education field, *Experience in SEN/SEMH School environment

Knowledge of OR experience with safety interventions. (verbal de-escalation/Physical intervention)

Resilience and adaptability to challenging situations. Working with young learners requires patience.

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Computer literate; familiar with Word, PowerPoint and using email
AND one or more of the following:

GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths

NVQ level 4 or equivalent / BTEC qualifications in either education, childcare, social work, social care, counselling or youth work
