As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a constructive learning atmosphere when teachers are absent. You will be responsible for supervising and managing classrooms, ensuring students\’ safety, and delivering pre-set work provided by the absent teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.

Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure that students remain on task.

Manage student behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.

Provide support to students with their learning when necessary.

Liaise with teaching staff and report any issues or concerns.

Maintain an organised and tidy classroom environment.

Uphold the school\’s policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and composure.

A passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting students\’ development.

Flexibility and adaptability to work with different age groups and subjects.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
