Van Driver / Workshop Operative / Welding

Berry Recruitment is actively seeking a temporary full time van driver who is prepared to take on workshop work also. This is a position for an approx period of 2-3 months covering sickness.

Requiring a candidate with workshop experience or the ability to turn your hand to basic mechanics, cleaning equipment and making it ready for rehire. The company are looking for a workshop assistant/2nd driver – Ally TIG and mild steel MIG welding would be really beneficial but some sort of workshop/mechanical experience, MUST BE able to drive a 3.5t flatbed. Fork Lift licence is ideally required but evidence that a FLT has been driven is acceptable. The workshop side is an interesting part of the business and can be trained to the right candidate with the willingness to learn.

PAY IS ENTIRELY ON EXPERIENCE WITH DRIVING/WELDING AND WORKSHOP STYLE WORK – WILL BE REVIEWED AND DISCUSSED AT INTERVIEW.

Main role will be delivering to clients across the East Anglia region with the workshop hand as a back up to the business.

Hours of work will be 08:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday.

Location of work is on the outskirts of Kings Lynn so transport to work will be essential.

Written and Spoken communication is essential in this role as there is a lot of customer interfacing when out delivering.
