For Companies CDL has been meeting the staffing needs of transport and warehouse businesses for over 20 years. We have an exciting opportunity an experienced 7.5 tonne driver to join our client based in Avonmouth on a temp to perm contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods across the southwest.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
– installation of a range of products including washing machines, dishwashers, TV\’s (full training and tools provided)
providing a professional service, ensuring goods are delivered and installed safely and efficiently
completing relevant paperwork relating to deliveries
navigating busy roads to optimise timely deliveries whilst driving in accordance with all traffic laws
unloading the vehicle at delivery locations
Candidates must have:– a valid, full driving licence (category C or C1) with no more than 6 points
– a valid CPC card and digital tachograph card
– ability and willingness to load and unload
– have good communication skills
– attention to detail and time management skills
– confidence with multi-drop routes
Candidates must present themselves in a professional manner, have a positive attitude towards work and be able to work with time-sensitive deliveries
