Delphi Developer in Oldbury, West Midlands

THE BUSINESS

A leading and well established steel manufacturing business operating across the UK and globally with immediate requirements for a Software Developer with extensive Delphi XE4 knowledge.

With over 90 years industry experience, my client operates across 50 worldwide locations, achieving in excess of £116m UK turnover and globally around £15bn.

The company is going through an IT transformation stage of development in the UK with plans to migrate some of its existing IT and ERP systems over the next 2-3 years including a migration from Delphi to C# .NET.

THE PERSON

The successful candidate will have worked on a similar Delphi (XE4 and above) and C#. NET development project with at least 3 years industry experience.

You will be an experienced full-stack developer with extensive knowledge of webforms and SQL database management, with strong design skills using Blazor.

Due to the nature of the work involved, this is an onsite role working from an Oldbury, West Midlands location 5 days per week.

THE ROLE

Ability to design, develop and support software to business requirements using C# .NET, Delphi XE4 (or earlier) including Blazor and SQL server technology

Strong database administration, design and maintenance including stored procedures

Supporting system integration testing, including input into test planning

Worked with some of the following tech stack: JavaScript, WPF, JAVA, XAML, WVVM, ADO.NET, ODBC, MS Access database or Advanced MS Excel

Strong problem solver specifically around software errors and data discrepancies

Ability to communicate systems and software development to internal users
