Were currently recruiting for a leading supplier of fire protection solutions and high-performance insulation. They are looking for a Technical Advisor to be based in Bristol for this hybrid role.

Principal Responsibilities of a Technical Advisor

General

  • Demonstrate continuous improvement.
  • A high level of accuracy in delivery.
  • To comply with the department filing structure, including the accurate recording of project data and working in accordance with all department quality assurance procedures.

External Customer

  • To answer all technical enquiries and undertake any further action that is required to satisfy the enquiry.
  • To understand the assess the risk in accordance with company policy prior to release to client.
  • To be mindful of the customer perspective and communicate advice in an appropriate manner
  • To supply specialist CAD details to Customers on on-going projects.
  • To provide guidance and advice to client to enable them to achieve sign off from relevant parties.

Internal Customer

  • To provide Technical Assistance to Marketing, Systems development & system support departments.
  • Help train Technical Team members & external sales teams in all aspects of the product and systems were required.
  • To give Auto CAD training to internal personnel as required.

Skills/Experience

  • Educated to A level standard.
  • Having a qualification such as HNC/HND educated in a Building, Architect or Structural Engineering related field or a person who can demonstrate work experience in a relevant trade would be an advantage.
  • Good all-round computer skills with focus on MS Office
  • A strong level of technical experience
  • A clear communicator through all media in English

Able to work permanently in the UK, without sponsorship or needing to apply for a VISA.

All new hires must compete an IFE level 3. After they pass probation (6 months) they will then have 18 months to study and pass the exam ( the organisation will pay for the certification as it is a business requirement).

  • TA1 is a very junior role so open to those who have just done A levels/college or no degree but relevant experience.
  • TA2 is slightly more experienced. Wed expect degree/HNC/apprenticeship and AutoCAD experience.
