Chatterwood Nursing Home has 35 beds and offers the highest standards of nursing care for the elderly in Liss, Hampshire, on the grounds of our sister home Milkwood House.
We are looking for an experienced maintenance operative to join our current team.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance work is required
- Good general DIY skills
- To be able to work well with the team and residents at Chatterwood
Responsibilities:
Carry out a planned system of maintenance household checks, gardening tasks, decorating, and minor repairs of the buildings and equipment
Painting and redecoration of all areas within the home as requested by the Home Manager and per the maintenance schedules
Ensure that basic electrical maintenance is carried out safely, e.g., changing of light bulbs, replacing correct amperage plug fuses etc.
To understand the principles of workplace safety
To be available for emergency call out
Report any maintenance issues to the Home Manager
Ensure all maintenance, decorating, cleaning products, gardening tools and any other equipment is stored safely.
Check all electrical items meet PAT testing requirements or supervise external professional.
Good communication skills
Be comfortable working within either a team setting or lone working
To have good time management and ability to schedule and plan
Professional presentation and attitude
To complete all jobs required to a high standard
To be kind and care to residents whilst working within the home
