We’re looking for an experienced Expense Partner to join our dynamic team, partnering with AXA Health on a 12 month fixed term contract. As an Expense Partner, you’ll play a crucial role in developing strong relationships with Finance Directors and executives, to gain valuable cost insights and influence decision-making. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving in-year budgets and long-term cost goals, as well as driving material impacts on key business outcomes such as growth, profitability, and customer servicing.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide expense partnering for the fast-moving Health function, influencing key business outcomes.

  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Finance Directors and business unit executives.

  • Deliver first-class partnering support, turning numbers and data into compelling business insight and influencing at all levels to drive cost management and wider business strategic goals.

  • Influence leadership to embed a cost-conscious culture and actively manage spend.

  • Supplement standard cost reporting with insightful analysis and manage expense performance.

  • Responsible for leading interaction and negotiation with the function to ensure budget and forecast targets are hit.

  • Lead the review and challenge of function budgets and forecasts Anaplan inputs, including reference to trends, activity-based analysis and KPIs.

  • Develop comprehensive financial insight and analysis of proposed budgets for the FDs and business leadership, to ensure they understand and are accountable for delivery of their cost target.

Screening & Conduct

As a proactive and results driven individual with a passion for cost management and influencing business outcomes, you’ll be ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified. With the following additional skills and experience:

  • Strong relationships management with excellent communication skills.

  • Analytical with key influencing skills and able to negotiate outcomes.

  • Ability to deliver at pace with the integrity to handle highly confidential data.

  • Good knowledge of cost management including budgeting and forecasting.
